News & Documentary Emmy Awards: Doc Winners Include ‘Prime Minister’, ‘Underdogs’ & ‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’

The 47th News & Documentary Emmy Awards has concluded, with Madison Wells’ Prime Minister winning Best Documentary.

The Documentary winners were announced Thursday, following the News categories on Wednesday, at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City, which also is set to host the Documentary ceremony on Thursday night. See the list of winners thus far below.

Emmy-winning ABC News journalist Martha Raddatz received the News Emmys lifetime achievement award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Amber Ruffin was the emcee for Wednesday’s show, and her fellow Have I Got News for You co-host Michael Ian Black helmed Thursday’s ceremony, which also streamed on the NATAS YouTube channel.

National Geographic came into Wednesday’s trophy show with a leading 51 nominations — a record for the network, driven largely by the success of the Trafficked series.
